Your First Visit

From the day you call or walk into our office our goal is to make you feel welcome and treat you as our guest. We want you to be as comfortable as possible while we cater to your dental needs. As part of your first visit you will complete a comprehensive medical and dental history as well as provide us with information regarding your desires and concerns. This input will help us to determine the course of your treatment as well as ensure that we address what is important to you. This information will include a list of your current medications, allergies that you may have, and any sensitivity to anesthetics which are of concern.

On your first visit Dr. Parker will conduct a comprehensive examination including a periodontal evaluation and oral cancer screening. A full mouth series of x-rays are necessary to fully examine you and allows the Doctor to see the tooth structure above and below the gum line. This enables him to evaluate the bone structure supporting your teeth. After gathering all of the necessary information and listening to your concerns and desires, Dr. Parker will develop a comprehensive treatment plan. This will be reviewed with you and any questions regarding your treatment needs will be answered. This allows Dr. Parker, with your input, to develop a personalized plan for your oral care. We work with you so that your care is convenient for you and fits in with your busy life style.

What to Bring

For this visit we ask that you bring any dental records that you may have and a list of medications that you are taking. You will be asked to complete a brief dental history and an information form. Your first evaluation will give us a complete picture of your present oral health. Your initial exam will include a thorough evaluation of your teeth and gums and you will be presented with a complete treatment plan.

Preventative Recall Visits

Regular preventative care is the key to maintaining good dental health. We will schedule your next cleaning and call you three weeks in advance to confirm the time that you had reserved with our hygienist. If you do not have an appointment, we will send you a written reminder when it is time to return.

We look forward to working with you to help you achieve and maintain a healthy and beautiful smile.
